Modern Slavery Statement

R Edwards Associates Ltd acknowledges our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business operations.

Our Business

We are an independent construction consultancy providing project management, surveying, and cost consultancy services. Our operations are primarily based in the United Kingdom, serving clients across commercial, residential, and public sectors.

Our Supply Chain

We engage with suppliers and subcontractors for professional services, materials, and equipment. We recognise that our supply chain presents potential risks for modern slavery and we are committed to addressing these risks.

Our Commitments

  1. 1Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
  2. 2Ensure all employees understand their responsibilities and know how to report concerns.
  3. 3Conduct due diligence on suppliers and subcontractors to assess modern slavery risks.
  4. 4Include anti-slavery clauses in contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  5. 5Provide training to relevant staff on identifying and reporting potential issues.
  6. 6Report any instances of modern slavery identified in our operations or supply chain.

Signs We Look For

Construction is identified as a sector with elevated risk. We remain vigilant for indicators including:

  • Workers who appear fearful or unable to communicate freely
  • Inconsistent or vague employment documentation
  • Unusual working patterns or conditions
  • Subcontractors who are reluctant to provide detailed information

Reporting Concerns

Employees who identify potential modern slavery concerns should report them immediately to the Directors. We encourage open communication and will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
